Some thing New for Summer 2010 - GARDEN PARTY AT BELVEDERE HOUSE THIS JULY.

 

Mad Hatters Garden Party, geared towards children and families.

On Sunday 11th July the first Garden Party of the summer will take place with a magical theme.

The day begins at 12 midday with a Fairy Garden Demonstration by Belvedere Gardner John Smyth on what types of plants to have in your garden to attract Fairies.

A Magic Show with Bozo the Clown starts at the Jealous Wall at 1pm. Join the characters from Alice in Wonderland for The Mad Hatters Tea Party in Cherry Valley at 2pm

Before making your way to the 3pm matinee production of William Shakespeares A Midsummer Nights Dream outdoor garden theatre by Chapterhouse Theatre group on tour from England. This much loved tale of fairies and mortals entwined is perfect for young and old alike and children and adults are invited to come in fairy fancy dress to participate with the cast in an interval parade.

Bring your own picnic and low backed seating and enjoy a day of fabulous entertainment in a memorable majestic setting.

Normal admission price to Belvedere applies there is no extra charge for the Garden Party.

 

A Midsummer Nights Dream By William Shakespeare

 

Allow the mischievous Robin Goodfellow to spirit you away into the Athenian forest as Shakespeares verse weaves its magic over you. Alive with magnificent costumes, wonderful sets and a musical score composed especially for Shakespeares beautiful language, Chapterhouse presents Shakespeares renowned romantic comedy in some of the most awe-inspiring venues. Enjoy a relaxed summers evening as the lovers tale of romance, woe, magic and excitement plays out before you, and the misadventures of Bottoms troop of mechanicals create all sorts of fun and frolics that are sure to delight all the family. Picnic in the magical surroundings of Belvederes beautiful gardens and enjoy a wonderful afternoon of garden theatre.
