Horticulture FETAC Level 5

FAS, Mullingar in conjunction with Westmeath Community Development Ltd and Belvedere House Gardens & Park will run a Local Training Initiative in Mullingar. Applications are invited for places on this programme from individuals who meet the requirements set out below.

This 40 week Programme is designed to provide trained personnel for the Horticulture Industry.

- Plant Science

- Soil Science and Growning Media

- Plant Identification and use

- Nursery Stock Production

- Plant Care & Maintenance 

- Communications

- Safety and Health at Work

- Work Experience - Safe Pass

Level 5 FETAC Certificate in Horticulture

Trainee Profile

Applicants should be a Minimum of 18 Years of age. Must be well motivated and have a positive attitude towards working in the Horticulture Sector. Must have own transport /lift to Belvedere House, Gardens & Park three days a week. (Mon-Wed).

Thursday & Friday learners will be based in Westmeath Community Development, Blackhall, Mullingar.

This Course requires Garda Vetting.

Normal FAS Allowances will apply.
