Belvedere At A Glance
Belvedere House, Gardens & Park is a Georgian house and estate owned and operated by Westmeath County Council and situated just outside Mullingar Town.
Within 160-acres, visitors can enjoy a self-guided visit, with optional audio tour, around our magnificent period house, lakeshore walks, woodlands trails and stunning Victorian Walled Garden. There’s so much to see, do and experience for all ages. Come join us and experience fascinating history brought to life, nature at its best, woodland walking and family fun – for everyone.
Opening Hours
Our Gardens and Park are open all-year-round, with seasonal closing hours:
March & October
9.30am to 6.00pm Daily
April & September
9.30am to 7.00pm Daily
May, June, July & August
9.30am to 8.00pm
November, December, January & February
9.30am to 4.30pm Daily
In season, the House closes at 5pm and at 4pm during low season months.
Please note: Last admission is ONE hour before stated closing time. All details are correct at time of publishing but can be subject to change. Belvedere may close to the public while staging large events. Please check website or our Facebook page, or telephone 044-9338960 ahead of your trip.

What to Wear
As Belvedere estate is primarily an outdoor venue, for your comfort please dress appropriately and be prepared for the changeable Irish weather.
Car Parking
Belvedere House, Gardens and Park has ample FREE car parking facilities for visitors.
Coach Parking
Coach drop-off points and parking are available for all pre-booked groups.
Bicycle Parking
There are bicycle parking facilities outside the entrance to the Visitor Centre. Please note that cycling is NOT permitted within the estate itself.
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi internet access is available in the Courtyard area of the Visitor Centre.
